How to Start Mower Racing in NZ
NZLMRA affiliated clubs run events around the country incuding the EastCoast champs, Canterbury club champs , Bay waikato club champs and the NZLMRA runs National events like the National champs and the teams Enduro Champs. As well as other events for fundraising and communitys. Not to metion the Red Bull Cut it
To enter any NZLMRA event you must be a NZLMRA affiliated club member and have a current Mower WOF/Greensheet ,simple as that
NZLMRA is the only registered Mower racing association in New Zealand and all of its clubs are also registered , this means they are all covered by the legal protection and proceedures that govern all of the New Zealand clubs. It also has regular National commitee meetings involving all of the associated clubs. This allows all of the clubs to have a say in the direction or mower racing in New Zealand. These meeting are all documented and run according to the NZLMRA constitution

Firstly to enter these events your mower needs to have a NZLMRA WOF/Greensheet. Obviously if you are looking at purchasing a racing mower in New Zealand you will want to make sure it has a current NZLMRA WOF . Those mowers will attract a higher price and can be raced anywhere in the country.
A NZLMRA WOF is to make sure that your mower is up to the safety rules and meets the class rules so that we can all have even and safe racing. The WOF is carried out by one of the affiliated clubs and needs to be done before you can race at a meeting or event.
This WOF is done every year at the beginning of the season to make sure your mower is safe and still complies with the rules.

To get you mower WOF done reach out to your local NZLMRA club
Once your mower has a WOF to join a club you simply contact them by email or facebook page , all the details are on this site or email the nzlmra at [email protected] for more info.
you will need to fill out an application form and submit it.
You then need to complete 3 race meets with that club. Once that is done the application will be processed and you would need to pay your yearly subscription.
No Money is paid until your enrolement is processed by the club after the 3 race meets.
Once you ar a fully paid up member and your Mower has a NZLMRA current WOF you can then enter any National NZLMRA race events and club events
